Ida in the Ouachita National Forest ON lake Ouachita! One of a kind find!! This extremely spacious and newly renovated 7 bedroom 4 full bathroom retreat is perfect for just about anyone and is paradise for small and large groups a like. There are 5 private bedrooms and 2 additional "open" bedrooms with two twin size beds in one and a twin and a full bed in the other. All new everything in this amazingly cozy yet spacious get away. New A/C throughout the houses. 5 wood burning fire places. The property borders the core land around Lake Ouachita and is a fisherman's and hunter's paradise.You can pull your boat/boats right up to the back yard and leave it there during your stay. You can put it in the lake at the Twin Creeks launch just about 1 mile from the house. We have 4 kayaks, life jackets, paddles and several floaties for your use and enjoyment.
You can walk right to the water from the back yard following the groomed trail and the quite little cove remains calm and peaceful year around. We've nicknamed the property the gnome home and hope you enjoy all the little added touches. There is a small fenced area for dogs. The kitchen has all new dishes, pots and pans, utensils, spices .Washer and dryer, laundry soap, etc. BBQ Grill, Outdoor Fire Pit and Propane Fire Place on PatioHuge parking lot with enough room for several vehicles with trailers. If you are pulling a trailer, please take the 2nd Evergreen Road (Evergreen Rd is a loop). The 1st Evergreen Road will bring you into the property at an angle that is challenging for trailers.
If rocks are your thing - look around - crystals abound! It doesn't get much better than Mt. Ida and the Oauchita National Forest and the corp of engineer land surrounding the property is a perfect hunting ground. Within a couple miles of one of the most beautiful trail systems (biking & walking) in the south. Lake Ouachita Vista Trail and just 30 minutes to Hot Springs.
ATVs and Side by Sides are allowed in the area.
The property is close to Lake Ouachita Shores Resort & Marina, Mountain Harbor Resort & Marina, Brady Mountain Resort & Marina, Mt. Ida, Hot Springs & Mena.It is also only about a 35 minute drive to Lake Hamilton and downtown Hot Springs.

Originally constructed in 1879 as a boarding house it has a very long history of providing shelter and a comfortable and convenient place to stay for the Hot Springs visitors of the era.
Nearly destroyed and extensively damaged by fire in the early 2000's, the interior was completely gutted and renovated from the bones out to create a unique large group vacation rental with all of the modern amenities of our times but still having the feeling of days gone by. The private, fenced, three tiered back yard is peaceful and tranquil while the front seating areas and balconies provide great views of the Observation Tower and Former Army Navy Hospital.
One block off of the downtown main strip it's close enough to walk to any of the bathhouses, shops and bars & restaurants.
It has new everything and lots of amenities are provided. It also have DirecTV and wi-fi.
We affectionately nicknamed the house "The Crooked House" because Barry said there isn't a straight angle in the entire house. It has also been know over the years as "The Three Sisters House" and it is located next to the "Ladies of the Court" houses which are on the state's historical registry.

They purchased these two "Fixer Uppers" and worked tirelessly to renovate and restore them to the awesome properties that they are today.
